Color and art no matter the source, that’s my world. A pile of silk threads, hand dyed material, beads and baubles, misty mornings, sunrises, rocks (their shape and color, or lack thereof), a palette of paints, faces, these are a few of my favorite things as the song writers say. We are surrounded by the beauty of all God’s creations but we live so fast that sometimes we hardly notice what is most times inches away from our face. I try to never get so overwhelmed by the days activities that I don’t have at least a moment to find something beautiful to look at and take a mental snapshot. There is art in so many things that we have a virtual art gallery right before us 24/7. Somedays I have sensory overloads when almost everything I see, touch or taste leaves me breathless. What a feeling (see even music makes an impact, another sensory art form)! My point is color rocks my world. Art, no matter the medium is the other part of my world that I could not live without. To see a beautiful art quilt a virtual picture painted with bits of beautiful cloth, scattered with beads or baubles then stitched together is not only a feast for the eyes but your sense of touch. A pieces of blown glass, pottery, paintings, photos, hand made jewelry, mosaics, music, iron works, it’s all right before you free to enjoy. So much to see and experience everyday is like a gallery crawl, no coming soon announcement needed, just open your eyes and drink it in, I’ll see you there.
