Legacy Portraits
I have two different types of Legacy Portraits that I design. One is a painted portrait on canvas with layers of other pictures, memorabilia, or special items that are brought together to tell a story. Canvas portraits can be made in a variety of sizes from 11 X 14 up to 4’ X 6’, framed or in a gallery wrap. These portraits take up to 2 months months to make and start at $500.00.
The second is a smaller version that is all photographs manipulated to tell a story. These are usually done on fine art paper or glossy photo paper, but can be printed on artist canvas also. These are 11 X 14 and start at $200.00.
Legacy Portraits are collection of your favorite pictures and any other items that portray a life event, memorable moment or life time achievement. I create these to be very personal to capture the essence of who this person is and the importance of the event and what it means to you. My goal is to capture the subject in a way that speaks about who they are and to showcase this unique event or achievement in a beautiful artistic way. This becomes a true Legacy Portrait because it tells a story along with the Portrait.
In the story below of Lola, these pictures were taken on a sweltering day, her hair was a mess, she was running around playing with other children, but those two photos tell a lot about a beautiful independent free spirit to those that love her.

The first two portraits below are painted on canvas and finished with a gallery wrap, it’s size is 24 X 28. Look closely at the Alex NY, it tells the story of her 7th birthday. This trip was her parents gift to her. I talked with Alex and had her give me all the photos that meant something special to her. Click on the portrait and look closely and you will see different pictures of her, her mom and dad and of course her Lambie (who travels everywhere with her). It’s quite a story!! The rest of the Legacy Portraits are on fine art paper.
